Unrostered overtime and recalls go missing
Staying back to finish a list or getting called in overnight is easy to forget by the time timesheets are due. If it isn't recorded, it isn't paid.
The agreement doesn't settle everything
Some rules are open to interpretation, so health services in the same state apply them differently: whether overtime is averaged over a fortnight or a month, and whether rostered overtime is paid at the rate of the day it was worked. Your payslip reflects your employer's reading, which may not be the generous one.
